【ペトリキウカとは】
ペトリキフカ塗りとは19世紀頃にウクライナのドニプロペトロウシク州にあるペトリキウカ村で発展した絵付け技術です。
猫の毛から手作りされる柔らかくしなやかな筆を使って、色を重ね置くように描かれるのが特徴です。
元々は家屋のデコレーションとして発展したこともあり、現在も村のバスターミタル、銀行、薬局、塀にまで美しいペトリキウカ塗りを見ることができます。
また村にはペトリキウカアートセンターがあり、ここで技術認定を受けた生徒たちが全国で作家や指導者として技術の保全と普及に努めています。
2013年にユネスコの無形文化遺産に認定されました。
